When choosing a story in a worship or faith development context, we make choices. Why use this particular story? What about it is important? How much information can be shared while still keeping the story accessible? How will the story engage children, youth, or adults in theological reflection and action while still remaining true to the historical “facts”? How will it help them grow as people of faith? This workshop will explore these questions, offer examples from existing and coming resources, and invite participants to share some of their favorite ways to use history as a vehicle for faith development.
